NoBabel™ Translator eases the problem of human translators being unable to adequately cope with the rapidly increasing demand for translations. By integrating a number of proven linguistic and statistical technologies in a unique way, NoBabel automatically creates useable databases that in turn yield high quality translations. From its simple setup to its output of Translation Memories (TMs), NoBabel’s processes are completely automated. By providing translators with a unique technology, NoBabel Translator is the only commercially available Machine Translation (MT) product that easily and affordably increases translator productivity.

For both the Web enabled Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) version and the Server (Enterprise) version users pay only for new TUs generated by NoBabel.

NoBabel Translator – Web is the Internet based solution for Translators having access to the Internet but otherwise having limited computer resources and small translation volumes. It allows translators, over the Internet, to seamlessly integrate NoBabel Translator directly into their work environment.

NoBabel Translator – Server (Enterprise) is a large scale, server based implementation for Language Service Providers (LSPs) and Corporate Clients with extensive computer resources, large data repositories and high translation (localization) volumes. It allows for customization that is specific to a client’s requirements.

Both versions utilize 8 bit Unicode Transformation Format (UTF-8) encoding and will work with virtually any language pair for which there is legacy data available either as TMs or related documents in both source and target languages.

Currently, NoBabel is available for several languages, such as, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Thai and Korean. Since it is easy to add language pairs with NoBabel Technology, more can and will be quickly added as required.

NoBabel™ Enhancer

In cases where TMs are already available, NoBabel enhances them by generating additional TUs from partial segments extracted from multiple existing TUs. NoBabel Enhancer's leveraging is total. It produces translations for all, or virtually all, segments.

Overall, especially considering that NoBabel TUs include accurate translations of complex terminology, translators are able to spend significantly less time on a given translation.

Thus, with NoBabel not only is the language quality high and the consistency across multiple translations ensured, but also much less effort and time is required for its translations than for those of its competitors.

Despite its internal complexities and use of innovative sophisticated technology, NoBabel is easy for translation professionals to use, partly because it conforms to their current working environment that is typically based on a commercial TM system, such as Trados, Déjà Vu, Wordfast, STAR and Logoport. Translators can integrate NoBabel into this environment without the need for additional training and can immediately reap the benefits of greater productivity. The increased productivity achieved through NoBabel allows the current commercial TM tools to take full advantage of the latest state-of-the-art methods in Machine Translation.

NoBabel™ AutoAligner

As with any system that uses TM processes, NoBabel's setup includes an automated document matching and sentence alignment of past translations. However, unlike other systems that require weeks, months, or even years of manual effort to correct mismatches and misalignments, NoBabel's results not only require no human correction, but also have been verified to be of equal or better quality than had the same task been done with a great deal of effort by qualified human translators.

NoBabel correctly aligns properly translated text including glossaries alphabetically sorted in their respective languages. Poorly translated text is excluded from AutoAligner TMs.

Essentially, with typically 99% accuracy, NoBabel's completely automated process can match documents in a matter of minutes or, at most, hours of computer processing time, even with tens of thousands of documents. In addition, NoBabel's processes as well as using Legacy TMs use information available on the Internet to create NoBabel’s combined TM and Term databases that include equally well aligned sentences, sub-sentence segments, and terms.

With many varied databases at its disposal that are each typically larger and more comprehensive than those of other systems, NoBabel generates high quality, well formed Source/Target Translation Units (TUs).

NoBabel’s automated alignment process is particularly valuable when existing Legacy TMs are very limited or not available at all.

As well, unlike other systems, even when the project requires only a few translations NoBabel's TM / Term databases are so easy to set up that it is no longer cost or time prohibitive to create a new TM / Term database for each specific project.
