NoBabel™ Enhancer Basic User Guide



Enhancer TM Details

This “Enhancer TM Details” page is accessed from the “Purchase Enhancer TM” page by, in the “Enhancer TM for Purchase” table, clicking on the TM Details “View” button. Before deciding whether to purchase the TM generated by the Enhancer, in this page’s “Enhancer TM Summary” and “Analysis of NoBabel Productivity Gain” sections you can review detailed information about it, including the savings achieved and price.

Enhancer TM Summary

For this TM enhancement job, the “Enhancer TM Summary” section displays the project name, type of Enhancer project Job Group ID, Individual Job ID, source language, target language, document name, TM name, when it was competed, the processing time, whether an External TM was used, the Weighted Word Savings, and price.


Project Name The name you gave the project is displayed.

Project Type The type or kind of NoBabel Enhancer project is displayed.

Job Group ID – The Job Group ID, a unique number assigned by the NoBabel system to the 1 or more individual jobs submitted together, is displayed.

Individual Job ID The Individual Job ID, a unique number assigned by the NoBabel system to this 1 job of the job group, is displayed.

Source Language – The source language of the new enhanced TM, which is the same as that of the original TM and also the language of the document(s) to be translated using it, is displayed.

Target Language – The target language of the new enhanced TM, which is the same as that of the original TM and also the language to which the document(s) are to be translated using it, is displayed.

Document Name – The name of the Document File used for this job is displayed.

TM Name The name of the TM File used for this job is displayed.

Completed – The time this job was completed is displayed.

Processing Time –The length of time used to process this job is displayed.

External TM Used –Whether or not an External TM was used in the processing of this job is displayed.

Weighted Word Savings – The Weighted Word Savings for this job are displayed. Expressed as a percentage and number of words, Weighted Word Savings is the difference between the number of weighted words you would have to translate using only your TM and the number of weighted words you have to translate using both your TM and the NoBabel Enhancer TM.

Price The price of the Enhancer TM is shown. You are charged for the difference between the number of weighted words you would have to translate using only your TM and the number of weighted words you have to translate when using both your TM and the NoBabel Enhancer TM. If with the Enhancer you do not reduce the number of weighted words you have to translate or do not deem the reduction worthwhile, you do not have to purchase anything. The cost of each additional weighted word in every purchased Enhancer TM is $0.02 US Dollars.

 

Analysis of NoBabel Enhancer Productivity Gain

The “Analysis of NoBabel Enhancer Productivity Gain” section displays statistics pertaining to NoBabel productivity gains in relation to baseline leverage values performed by an industry-standard Trados-type pre-translation.

Legacy and NoBabel Columns – The “Legacy” column shows the degree of matching achieved using a Trados product. The “NoBabel” column shows the number of matches in each percentage range that NoBabel Enhancer has created. Typically, you will see improvements in the 85%-94% range, the 95%-99% range, and the 100% range. The number of matches in the lower ranges will typically decrease.

Weighted Words – Weighted Words is the number of words determined by totaling the words in all categories, with little or no weight being given to Context TM, Repetitions, 100% and "High Fuzzies" and up to the full weight being given to "Low Fuzzies" and No Match.


Savings – Savings shows you the percentage of weighted words saved when only your TM is used and when both your TM and the NoBabel Enhancer TM are used.
