Upload Documents

Info
The box at the top
of many pages has details about the TM enhancement project/job(s). On this page
it displays the project name and type of Enhancer Advanced project.

Advanced Common Project – The 1 document
(source) language selected is also included.

Advanced Mixed Project – You select the 1
or more document (source) language(s) for a Mixed project on this page when you
upload the document(s). They are first included on the “Jobs To Be Run” page and
then thereafter.

Supported
Language Pairs
NoBabel Enhancer supports all English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish (EFIGS)
bidirectional language pairs.
Also it supports in both directions English paired with:

All documents in a zip file must be in only 1 of the supported languages.
Document
(Source) Language
The NoBabel system
automatically determines the source and target languages of uploaded TM Files.
The language of the Uploaded Document(s) to be translated and the source
language of the TM(s) you want enhanced for use in the translation must be the
same language.

Advanced Common Project – A Common project
can have only 1 document (source)
language. Select it from the supported languages listed in the dropdown
menu. The document (source) language you
select here should be the same
supported
language as the
1 source language
you selected
for this project when you created it, that is, unless you have subsequently changed that
language. On the “Project Management” page you can change a Common project’s
source (document) language by selecting in the “Source Language” box a different
language from the dropdown menu.

Advanced Mixed Project
– For a Mixed
project there is no “Source Language” box on the “Project Management” page
because its 1 or more source (document)
language(s) are selected here on the “Upload Documents” page.
As you upload each Document File, you
select from the list of supported
languages in the dropdown menu the
language of the document(s) in the file.

The Document File formats that the Enhancer supports are:

Zip files can
contain documents in 1 or more of the supported formats.
Upload Document
File
Password Protected
Files cannot be processed.
The Document File
cannot be more than 50 megabytes. To upload larger Document Files separate them
into smaller ones, each no more than 50 megabytes.
To upload a
Document File begin by clicking the "Browse" button and a "Choose File" popup
window will appear. Then search for and select the Document File you wish to
upload. Click "Open" or double click on the selected Document File, either of
which will input the File and close the popup window.
To finish
uploading the Document File and return to the “Project Management” page click
"Upload
Documents".
Uploading a
Document Zip File
You may include
many documents in 1 or more of the supported formats in 1 zip file.
Grouping documents
in 1 common language into a zip file can help reduce the complexity of managing
your projects.

Advanced Common and Mixed Projects – All
documents in a zip file must be in only 1 of the supported languages, which must
also be the source language of the TM(s) you want enhanced for use in
translating the document(s) in the zip file.
Advanced Mixed Project – Different zip files can have documents in different
supported languages, as long as the documents in any 1 zip file are all in the
same supported language.

If "Keep Zip File Grouped Together" is
chosen, NoBabel will translate all the files in a batch process; it will treat
all the files in the uploaded zip file as if they were 1 document for the
purposes of pre-translation against the selected uploaded TMs. This will create
1 Enhancer TM.
If "Unzip Zip File" is chosen, NoBabel
will unzip the file and you can select individual document files for
translation. NoBabel will pre-translate the selected individual documents
against the selected uploaded TMs. This will create a separate Enhancer TM for
each selected document.
To finish
uploading a Document Zip File and return to the “Project Management” page click
“Upload Documents”.
When you are
returned to the “Project Management” page the “Select, Review and Submit Job
Documents and TMs” section as well as the “Upload Project Documents and TMs”
section will be open.

Documents and TMs
While the
uploading of your Document File is being completed a progress bar is displayed.
Once this task is
finished your project will proceed automatically back to the Project Management
“Upload Project Documents and TMs” section. The “Select, Review and Submit Job
Documents and TMs” section will also be open.
If no problems
were encountered during the uploading process a message stating that the
Document File has been uploaded successfully will be shown in the “Upload
Project Documents and TMs” section. If any problem is encountered a message
stating what the problem is will be shown..
After you have
successfully uploaded a Document File, to again access the “Upload Documents”
page so you can upload additional documents:

In the Project Management “Upload Project Documents and TMs” section, click the
“Upload Documents” button and repeat the foregoing.

On the “Upload TMs” page click on the “Upload Documents” button at the bottom of
the page.

From other sections of the “Project Management” page you must first click on the
“Upload Project Documents and TMs” blue bar.

From any other page of the project, you must first return to the “Project
Management” page and then repeat the foregoing.
Please note that
you can upload documents for an Advanced project at different times, including
after previously uploading documents and/or TMs, and, even after running jobs.
When you are done
for now uploading documents, on the “Project Management” page or on the “Upload
Documents” page, to upload TMs click the “Upload TMs” button.
Or, if you have
previously uploaded the TM(s) you want, you can proceed to the Project
Management “Select, Review and Submit Job Documents and TMs” section.
Or you can leave
your project and come back to it later.
If you leave your
project, when you want to return to it, in the Side Menu under “Enhancer” click
on “Project List”. A table with a list of your available Enhancer projects will
then be displayed and, in that list, click on the “Open” button for this
project.
To proceed with
your project, when you have finished uploading the document(s) and TM(s) you
need for the current job(s), in the Project Management “Select, Review and
Submit Job Documents and TMs” section, select the available document(s) and
related TM(s) you want run.
