NoBabel™ Enhancer Advanced User Guide
 

Project Management

Once you have created your project by giving it a name and selecting the type of Enhancer Advanced project,

Common or Mixed, you can access the Project Management page for it.

Project/Job Info

The box at the top of many pages has details about the TM enhancement project/job(s). On this page, it displays

the project name, type of Enhancer Advanced project, your description, if any, of the project, and when it was created.

Source Language

The NoBabel system automatically determines the source and target languages of uploaded TM Files. The language

of the Uploaded Document(s) to be translated and the source language of the TM(s) you want enhanced for use in

the translation must be the same language. 

Advanced Common Project – On the “Project Management” page for a Common project there is a “Source

Language” box. A Common project can have only 1 source language. Select it from the supported languages

listed in the dropdown menu. If you wish later, you can change the project’s source language by selecting a

different supported language from the dropdown menu.

Advanced Mixed Project – On the “Project Management” page for a Mixed project there is no “Source

Language” box. For a Mixed project you select the 1 or more source language(s) on the “Upload Documents”

page.

Supported Language Pairs

NoBabel Enhancer supports all English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish (EFIGS) bidirectional language pairs.

Also it supports in both directions English paired with:

  • Dutch
  • Polish
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Arabic
  • Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Korean

Overview of Project Management Sections

On the “Project Management” page there are 4 sections:

  • Upload Project Documents and TMs.
  • Select, Review and Submit Job Documents and TMs.
  • Check Job Status and Purchase Enhancer TMs.
  • Download Purchased Enhancer TMs.

Using these sections you can:

  • Upload document(s) you want to translate.
  • Upload related TM(s). A related TM’s source language must be the same language as the language of the
    document(s) to be translated and also, its content should be similar to that of the document(s).
  • Select the uploaded document(s) and TM(s) you want run for each job.
  • Review the ones you selected before submitting your job(s).
  • Check the status of your running and completed jobs.
  • Decide whether or not to buy the Enhancer TM(s) generated.
  • Purchase the Enhancer TM(s) you want.
  • Download the purchased Enhancer TM(s).

Each section of the “Project Management” page can be accessed via its blue bar.

Click a Blue Bar To Open or Close Its Corresponding Section

When you are automatically taken to this page from the “Project Name” page the first section, “Upload Project

Documents and TMs” will be open.

To proceed with your Enhancer Advanced project click on either the “Upload Documents” button to begin uploading

the document(s) you want to translate or the “Upload TMs” button to begin uploading the TMs.

You can upload document(s) and TM(s) for an Advanced project at different times, even after you have run jobs.

After you have uploaded a document or TM file the “Select, Review and Submit Job Documents and TMs

section as well as the “Upload Project Documents and TMs” section will be open on the “Project Management” page.

When you have finished uploading the document(s) and TM(s) you need for the current job(s), in the Project

Management “Select, Review and Submit Job Documents and TMs” section, to proceed, select the available

document(s) and related TM(s) you want run. Before proceeding further, you can then review and, if you want,

change your selection(s).

For any particular job, you can use some or all of the available document(s) and related TM(s). Also, if you want,

you can have an External TM, that is a TM not supplied by you, used in the processing of your TM enhancement

job(s).

After you have submitted your job(s) you are automatically returned to the “Project Management” page, which will

have only the “Check Job Status and Purchase Enhancer TMs” section open.

Once your job is completed, you can decide whether to purchase the resulting Enhancer TM(s).

After purchasing the one(s) you want, you are automatically taken to the “Download Enhancer TMs Purchased from

the Job Group” page from which you can access and download the enhanced TM(s) you bought. When you return

from this page to the “Project Management” page only the “Download Purchased Enhancer TMs” section will be

open.

Please note that, whenever you leave the “Project Management” page and later return to it, all 4 sections will be closed. Remember that you can access whichever section you want by clicking on its blue bar.

Having finished creating your Enhancer Advanced project, Common or Advanced, by using the 4 sections of the

Project Management page you can run different jobs in your project. 

To start running a job, if the first section of the “Project Management” page, “Upload Project Documents and TMs” is

not open, click on its blue bar to open it.  Once this section is open, you can upload any documents and TMs you

need for the job. Once this is done, to proceed, you can use the next section of the “Project Management” page,

“Select, Review and Submit Job Documents and TMs”.
