NoBabel™ AutoAligner User Guide
Step 2 of 5: Upload Documents
Now that you have created your project by giving it a name, you can upload the documents you want aligned.
Project Summary
The "Project Summary" box at the top of most pages has miscellaneous information about the project. On this page, it has only the project's name.
Supported Language Pairs
NoBabel Aligner supports all English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish (EFIGS) bidirectional language pairs.
Also it supports in both directions English paired with:
Dutch
Polish
Portuguese
Russian
Arabic
Chinese
Japanese
Korean
Supported File Formats
The Document File formats that the AutoAligner supports are:
.doc
.docx
.htm
.html
.pdf
.ppt
.pptx
.rtf
.txt
.xls
.xlsx
.xml
.zip
Zip files can contain one or more of the supported formats.
Upload Document File
The Document File cannot be more than 50 megabytes. To upload larger Document Files separate them into smaller ones, each no more than 50 megabytes.
Password Protected Files cannot be processed.
You may include many documents in one or more of the supported formats and/or languages in one zip file.
To upload a Document File begin by clicking the "Browse" button and a "Choose File" popup window will appear. Then search for and select the Document File you wish to upload. Click "Open" or double click on the selected Document File, either of which will input the File and close the popup window.
If no problems were encountered during the uploading process a message stating that the file has been uploaded successfully will be shown. If any problem is encountered a message stating what the problem is will be shown.
After you have successfully uploaded a Document File, to upload more again click "Browse" and repeat the foregoing.
The "Uploaded Document Files" table lists all documents uploaded for use in the project. By clicking on the "Delete" button beside the Document File's name you can delete any document(s) you have changed your mind about using in the project. When that Document File is deleted, a message stating that it has been done will be shown.
Once you have uploaded all documents you want to use for your alignment job, to proceed to "Step 3: Review and Submit
Job(s)" click the "Next" button.
Step 2 → Step 3: Detecting Languages
The AutoAligner detects the languages and performs the word count for the uploaded documents. During this time a progress indicator and the estimated time to completion is displayed. You may wait or you may log out and log in later to check on the progress of this task. If you log out, to resume your project when you log in later in the Side Menu under "AutoAligner" click on "Project List". A list of your available AutoAligner projects will then be displayed and, in that list, click on the "Open" button for this project.
Once the language detection and word count task is completed your project will proceed automatically to "Step 3: Review and Submit Job(s)".
